CoV19 (2020)
Reimagining face masks as fashionable accessories, this project responds to the cultural and psychological complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic. By bridging Western notions of individuality and Eastern collective safety, the design aims to transform masks into expressions of personal style and encourage broader adoption of hygiene equipment.
Excuse Me (2017)
A pneumatic, weight-balanced social-escape tool designed to politely sidestep awkward conversations or overwhelming social interactions at gatherings. This device humorously visualizes social discomfort and the subtle indirectness characteristic of East Asian cultures through its inflating and deflating mechanism, serving as a playful commentary on navigating social dynamics.
